Directional drilling machine DDM-8 is a complex of the equipment for trenchless laying of pipelines with diameter up to 250 mm by horizontal directional drilling (HDD).
The drilling machine is designed as a lightweight trailer, which considerably facilitates its transportation to the place of work. Also, there is no need to purchase expensive trawl for transportation of horizontal directional drilling machines (HDD) on caterpillar.
Positioning DDM-8 also is very simple. By the force of 3 persons without any special effort machine can be disconnected from the car and rolled by hand to the point of the beginning of drilling. The only restriction is the length of the connecting hoses (HPH).
Unlike foreign analogues, construction of the mud supply system makes low demands for water quality for the preparation of bentonite mud, usual water from a nearby reservoir is enough.
Economic effect is also important. Benefits of DDM-8 in this context are, firstly at significantly lower cost of equipment, accessories and consumables compared with analogues made in Europe and the U.S., and secondly, the consumption of bentonite mud in the drilling rig is 50 l / min against 200 - 300 l / min in counterparts, which is 4-6 times reduces costly bentonite powder. The average speed of lining pipelines is comparable to foreign analogs.
The design of drill bars provides doubling of a resource and service of a carving part till deterioration.
The design, assemblies, and also the complete set of machine tool DDM-8 are protected by patents.
